Warm and Compassionate Counselling for Your
Mental Wellness

I offer counselling and psychotherapy to adults age 18 and over, both in person and online. My aim is to support you on your journey to better mental wellness which will empower you to make choices that serve you best. In this journey, you will not be alone. You set the direction and pace, and I walk alongside you with warmth, empathy, and compassion. If you have any questions or wish to start your journey, please feel free to contact us.
Counselling and psychotherapy can help us connect the dots between the past and present, allowing us to make sense of our experiences. This awareness empowers us to broaden our choices and explore new paths towards resolving our challenges. If you're interested in enhancing your mental wellness, feel free to contact us for more information.

In my practice, I integrate range of humanistic approaches, including Person-Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis theories and methods. Because we are all different, by drawing on these approaches, I can adapt the therapy to meet your individual needs.
Although the terms are often used interchangeably, they differ in dept and focus, both supporting mental and emotional well-being.
Counselling focuses on specific problems or situations. Help clients develop coping strategies , problem solving and improve daily functioning. It's more present-focused.
Psychotherapy explores root causes, deeper, long-standing patterns, emotional difficulties. Helps facilitate deeper insight, emotional healing and improved relational patterns. Past and present focused.
I work with wide range of issues. Some of them are including, anxiety, aepression, low mood, stress and feeling overwhelmed, bereavement and loss, life stage changes or challenges - e.g fertility issues, miscarriage, pregnancy, parenthood, empty-nest, menopause, retirement.
You can find more information on my How I Work page.
This is different for everyone and the reason for seeking therapy. We would discuss this in our first session. Regular reviews would give us an chance to reflect together on how you are doing and what might support your needs best in our work.
Regular weekly sessions help build momentum and consistency in our therapeutic work together.
However, I appreciate that this may not work for everyone for varies reasons.
I would be happy to discuss the frequency of the sessions together at our first meeting and explore what is possible for you.
A typical counselling session lasts for 50 minutes.
I completely understand that unexpected situations may come up, and you may need to cancel or reschedule your session. If you can let me know at least 48 hours in advance, I will be happy to rearrange or cancel your appointment at no cost.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed appointments without notice, the full fee will still apply. This is because it is not always possible to offer the time to another client at short notice.
I offer a free 30-minute session, either in person or online, where we can explore what issues may be affecting you and how therapy could help.
It is important that you feel safe and comfortable with the therapist you choose. The first session comes with no obligation. It is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, and by the end, we can decide together if continuing therapy feels like the right fit for you.
It is extremely normal to feel nervous about starting therapy.Taking the first step towards counselling takes real courage, and I deeply respect your decision to begin this journey that opens the door to exploration, healing and self-care.
I believe, you already have the strength within you to face your challenges, and you don’t have to be alone to face them.
Therapy is a collaborative process- trusting relationship is essential to the therapeutic process. I bring my genuine warmth and my authentic self to our sessions - as a human being not just as a professional- so we can work together in a safe and compassionate environment where you feel seen, heard and understood.
Therapy works best when you show up open to exploring your thoughts, feelings and patterns even when the work feels uncomfortable at times.
If something in therapy is not feeling helpful or if your needs shift, you are invited to speak about it so we can adjust accordingly.
Growth often happens in the space between sessions. Noticing patterns, practicing new skills or journaling can deepen the work.
